  The history of leggings traces back to the 14th century. Interestingly, it was worn by men in   Scotland as military armour and as a casual garment. Initially, the leggings were made of  chainmail or leather and came in two separate boot-like apparatuses until the hip. Leggings  remained the garment for men until the late 19th century and became the closet staple for  women in the earlier and mid-20th centuries.  In the 1940s, women started wearing leggings as a piece of fashion and not as a  cloth for  protection. As time pass by, leggings began disseminating in a variety of fabrics like polyester,  spandex, rayon, sequin, cotton, and more. This versatile piece of cloth comes in various styles  like full-length, ankle-length, capri-length, mid-calf-length, footed, and stirrup leggings . Types of Leggings with their Uses:  Nowadays, leggings are put to numerous uses besides being used as fashion apparel. The reason  being is the comfort and confidence offered by it.  Full-length legg
